That is my belief and if we are not agreeable to advice and feels that there are other ways to do thing, we can always discuss.Remember the lady that we hired at school couple months ago?She was wonderful lady, very hard working and basically been friendly to everyone – the teachers and the students. Will do so in the next few days Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1466160692500746406.post-66429330410616598892008-04-17T17:16:00.001-07:002008-04-17T17:17:43.916-07:00The more important thingsWhich is more important?Children finishing their course books or understanding what is in the books?More of it in later post.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1466160692500746406.post-87493765970763177952008-04-07T03:19:00.000-07:002008-04-07T03:44:45.184-07:00What is this word game?Just short snippets from me…I did not know that this new job as a kindergarten teacher will take whatever free time that I had 7 days a week. Monday to Friday, it is work at school and later in the afternoon, day care work. Saturday to Sunday, it is preparation for next week’s school activities. Whatever time I have in between, I spend it on housework – the only time I can afford to clean the Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1466160692500746406.post-30427103670086644092008-03-31T05:19:00.000-07:002008-03-31T05:29:08.236-07:00Books.(Picture source: http://www.sweden.se)Busy, busy, busy…What started as a single post as an English teacher has been extended to many extra posts now. Well it can be said that I am “in training” for headmistress work without the headmistress pay. Ha ha. With extra workload, I had something shopping to do – starting with a good dictionary and perhaps some kiddies books for teachers. So, I started Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1466160692500746406.post-65872787171065756382008-03-16T15:56:00.000-07:002008-03-16T17:00:52.691-07:00Aaa-aaa & baa-baaThis is something that I did not learn when I was small – that is how to pronounce the words. I am learning more from a prepared audio tape and so far it is going well with other children. When I explain how to pronounce the words with saying “aaa-aaa” before saying alligator, the children in my class are able to pick these words quite fast. Thinking that I have conquered the hard part, I decidedUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1466160692500746406.post-22249897189595390742008-03-14T03:26:00.000-07:002008-03-14T03:30:32.676-07:00Extra HandIt was not easy but we finally got an extra helping at school. When I joined the school, I helped out with the housekeeping and cooking but after I got my *ahem* promotion, the housekeeping and cooking tasks were “shared” out by all of us at school. It was straining us, of course – for we had to take care of the teaching and day care as well. It was not easy to find someone who can take care of Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1466160692500746406.post-55542383760024152922008-03-12T04:17:00.000-07:002008-03-12T04:18:34.460-07:00Shout!Sorry for the late posting. The last 2 days…has been shouting day. Not used to shouting at anyone (except to my husband, maybe), I had to get used to shout at the young but active students with a cane in my hands. Not a pretty sight to my son but this technique works – most of the time. I am losing my voice and having a chest pain but otherwise still going strong. My husband asked me to relax and take things easy but no matter what is said, nothing will prepare me for the “first” day in school. I might as well go in and fight the “demon” in me.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1466160692500746406.post-4487639281163757372008-03-06T15:42:00.000-08:002011-01-13T15:09:37.641-08:00How it all startedI was not trained to be a teacher and I never was, so me becoming a teacher was quite accidental but it is something that I am truly grateful for.
It all started with a vacancy for housekeeping assistant at a kindergarten close to home and I was a kind of getting boring staying in the house, so I applied for it.
Applicants were few, so I was able to get the job without much problem. And she has decided to talk about her daily experience as a kindergarten teacher. So, hopefully she will have the time to start writing about her experiences and the readers are able to share the story.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
